.:About Latin Music Fest:.
Vision Statement
It is the vision of the Latin
Music Fest to create, through its various activities, a sense of pride,
historical understanding and greater self-esteem among all citizens of Latin
American origin living in the state of Wisconsin, particularly those in the
Greater Milwaukee area. We also wish to share with the general public the
beauty of the different Latin American cultures to promote a better
understanding and respect for all those living in the multicultural setting
that surrounds us.
Mission Statement
Latin Music Fest will showcase
the culture and vitality of Milwaukees Latino Community as well as other
Latin American heritages. Through its activities, the Latin Music Fest
expects to promote a greater understanding of the Latin American culture.
It will plan and promote activities of a cultural and historical nature to
enhance fraternal
relations among all Latino as
well as non-Latino groups. Through diverse activities, with a heavy
emphasis on music, we will continue to work with our youth to teach them about
the Latin American culture, music, dance, art and history. We will strive
to impress upon our people the value of education beyond high school,
especially to those committed to the community either to work or
volunteer.
